Using the ultrasonic technology of the USE 33, crystalline structures of calcium phosphate, magnesium phosphate and calcium carbonate are crushed quickly and purposefully.

This enables fast and cell-friendly decalcification
when using suitable fixation and decalcification solutions, e.g. USEDECALC or USERAPID. Infiltration processes of fixation, decalcification or intermediate media are significantly accelerated. In combination with the USEDECALC or USERAPID solutions, the decalcification time for bone marrow biopsies, hip heads, nasal and auditory bones is reduced to 25% of the time normally required, and for material with high corticalis a reduction of up to 40-60% can be achieved.

In combination with the USEDECALC or USERAPID solutions, the descaling time is reduced to 25% of normal. The heat generated by the input of ultrasonic energy is compensated by an integrated cooling unit. The digital temperature controller therefore ensures a constant temperature range ideal for the descaling process, which is usually around 16 – 18 °C. This preserves 100% of the morphology and antigenicity. No shrinkage artifacts or tissue swelling are seen. The morphology is very well preserved thanks to the ultrasonically accelerated decalcification, so that immunohistochemical examinations, among other things, are also possible.
