The eCep consists of a control unit and electrically heated tweezers. During use, the tip of the tweezers reaches a temperature between 65 °C and 75 °C. Only the tip gets hot while the handle remains pleasantly cool.
The concentrated heat prevents tissue damage. It is also hot enough to melt the kerosene it comes in contact with without kerosene sticking to the tip. Tweezers and control unit are available as a set or separately to complement existing devices. Each control unit comes with two connectors, allowing it to be easily shared by two users simultaneously. The tweezers, available in different tip sizes of 0.5mm – 1mm – 2mm and 4mm, can also be connected to the TES 99.
