MEDITE's cryostat is ideally suited for rapid cryo sections with a powerful cooling unit and a high-precision, semi-automatic microtome. As standard, the cryostat comes with UV light disinfection and 15 positions for tissue samples. The cooling chamber is illuminated with LED lights whose brightness can be dimmed.
The powerful cooling unit reaches temperatures down to -35°C. There are two “deepfreeze” positions and they can be set separately. An optional electronically cooled specimen clamp can reach a temperature as low as -45 °C, allowing tissue to be cooled even faster. The cooling chamber can be closed with a safety window that is heated, preventing condensation. The microtome and cooling chamber are controlled by a separate intuitive touch screen.
